Who Provide Quality Care
Our Mission
As a mental health practice, we assist patients by providing a comprehensive a psychiatric intake evaluation which includes a careful review of each patient’s medical and psychiatric history, one of the following treatment plans may be recommended:

Psychiatric intake evaluations are crucial for comprehending a patient’s mental health history, current concerns, and treatment needs. They offer a thorough assessment that shapes the creation of a personalized treatment plan. This session involves reviewing the patient’s medical history, conducting a physical examination, and discussing symptoms and treatment options. These consultations ensure the proper diagnosis of mental health conditions, laying a solid foundation for effective and tailored treatment strategies.

Second Opinion Diagnostic Consultations are consultations sought by patients to obtain an additional perspective or evaluation of their medical condition from another healthcare provider. These consultations are particularly valuable in complex or challenging cases where the initial diagnosis or treatment plan is unclear or where the patient seeks confirmation or alternative options. The FDA and NIH support the practice of seeking second opinions as a means to ensure accurate diagnoses and appropriate treatment decisions, ultimately improving patient outcomes and satisfaction.

An evaluation-and-management session refers to a medical consultation or examination where a healthcare provider assesses a patient’s condition to diagnose and manage their mental health needs. This session involves reviewing the patient’s medical history, performing a physical examination, and discussing symptoms and treatment options. These sessions ensure proper diagnosis, treatment, and management of mental health conditions, as they help healthcare providers make continuous and informed decisions about patient care.

Interventional Treatment Consultations involve discussions between healthcare providers and patients to explore and recommend interventional treatments for various health conditions. These consultations focus on discussing the benefits, risks, and alternatives of different interventional procedures, such as dTMS, Spravato, IV Ketamine Infusion treatments, to help patients make informed decisions about their healthcare. The importance of these consultations lies in ensuring that patients receive appropriate and effective treatments tailored to their specific health needs.

As a mental health provider dedicated to collaborative therapeutic support, Curated Mental Health treats each patient with warmth and compassion, and uses FDA and APA approved treatment protocols to design interventions that integrates the most effective and comfortable therapies for their unique condition and lifestyles.

Psychopharmacology is the study of how drugs impact mental, emotional, and behavioral processes. It focuses on understanding how various substances affect different areas of the brain and nervous system, including drugs of abuse. Psychopharmacology also involves the use of pharmacological agents in treating mental disorders. For instance, antipsychotic drugs are used to treat acute or chronic schizophrenia. While these drugs do not cure mental disorders, they can provide significant relief from symptoms when used appropriately.

Treatment of psychological problems in which two or more participants interact with each other on both an emotional and a cognitive level in the presence of one or more psychotherapists who serve as catalysts, facilitators, or interpreters. The approaches vary, but in general they aim to provide an environment in which problems and concerns can be shared in an atmosphere of mutual respect and understanding. Group therapy seeks to enhance self-respect, deepen self-understanding, and improve interpersonal relationships.

Conditions We Treat

Our care management may include any of the following treatment regimens: medication management, psychotherapy, and when clinically indicated, interventional treatments.

Insomnia

Insomnia

Insomnia refers to difficulty initiating or maintaining restorative sleep, leading to fatigue that significantly impacts daily functioning. This sleeplessness can be caused by transient or chronic physical conditions or psychological disturbances. Insomnia can be disruptive and distressing, affecting an individual’s overall wellbeing and quality of life.

Depression Disorders

Depression Disorders

Depression, also known as major depression, major depressive disorder, or clinical depression, is a common but serious mood disorder. It causes severe symptoms that affect how a person feels, thinks, and handles daily activities, such as sleeping, eating, or working. To be diagnosed with depression, the symptoms must be present for at least 2 weeks.

Anxiety Disorders

Anxiety Disorders

Anxiety is a typical response to stress, and in mild levels, it can be beneficial, alerting us to dangers and helping us prepare and focus.

However, anxiety disorders go beyond normal feelings of nervousness or anxiousness, involving excessive fear or anxiety. They are the most prevalent of mental disorders, impacting nearly 30 percent of adults at some point in their lives. These disorders can lead individuals to avoid situations that trigger or worsen their symptoms, impacting their job performance, schoolwork, and personal relationships. Thankfully, anxiety disorders are treatable with various psychotherapeutic treatments, allowing most individuals to lead normal, productive lives.

OCD

OCD

OCD is a disorder characterized by recurrent intrusive thoughts (obsessions) that prompt the performance of neutralizing rituals (compulsions). Typical obsessions involve themes of contamination, dirt, or illness and doubts about the performance of certain actions. Common compulsive behaviors include repetitive cleaning or washing, checking, ordering, repeating, and hoarding. Obsessions and compulsions are time-consuming, cause significant distress, and interfere with functioning. OCD is classified under the category obsessive-compulsive and related disorders in DSM–5 and DSM-5-TR.

PTSD

PTSD

PTSD is a disorder that develops in some people who have experienced a shocking, scary, or dangerous event. It is natural to feel afraid during and after a traumatic situation. Fear is part of the body’s “fight-or-flight” response, which helps us avoid or respond to potential danger. People may experience a range of reactions after trauma, and most people recover from initial symptoms over time. Those who continue to experience problems may be diagnosed with PTSD.

A repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) system is an external device approved by the FDA, that delivers repetitive pulsed magnetic fields of sufficient magnitude to induce neural action potentials in the prefrontal cortex to treat the symptoms of major depressive disorder (MDD) without inducing seizure in patients who have failed at least one antidepressant medication and are currently not on any antidepressant therapy.
Spravato ® Treatment in New York City
Spravato ® (esketamine) nasal spray is approved by the FDA in conjunction with an oral antidepressant, for the treatment of depression in adults who have tried other antidepressant medicines but have not benefited from them (treatment- resistant depression). Because of the risk of serious adverse outcomes resulting from sedation and dissociation caused by Spravato administration, and the potential for abuse and misuse of the drug, it is only available through a restricted distribution system, under a Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS).
Ketamine IV/KAP
Ketamine infusion therapy involves the administration of a series of infusions for the management of psychiatric disorders (e.g., major depressive disorder, acute suicidality). Ketamine is a noncompetitive N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor antagonist that has traditionally been used for the induction and maintenance of anesthesia. In ketamine infusion clinics, psychiatric-mental health advanced practice nurses (APRNs) and psychiatric-mental health RNs are collaborating with other psychiatric and health care providers to provide ketamine therapy services for individuals with chronic and medication resistant mental health disorders.

What Our Patients Say About Us

Curated combines professional expertise, a safe environment, and a patient-first approach to support transformative mental health journeys.

Thank you so much! My life did a 180 after meeting with the experts from Curated Mental Health. I’m forever grateful!!

They were able to properly diagnose me, manage my medications, and create realistic treatment plans for the long run. (...)

Curated Mental Health has been a Godsend since I have been in NYC. Just walking in the door, one feels a sense of welcome and calm.

From the front desk, then the therapist, and finally technician that monitors patients while taking the esketamine treatment. (...)

It has been a journey to find the right medication, but my doctor has always been so supportive and she makes me feel like a part of the process.

It is a collaborative process, where she asks me for my opinion about the treatment plan and keeps it very person-centered. She is the best!
